Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Alison Doody made her film debut as the Bond actress in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donnevan in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Doody was a model when her being approached by a hopeful photographer. Her career has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against glamour, nudity and thongs during her modeling career. When she was dragged into the sights of the casting director of a new James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 promising actors from 1986. 38. Doody, at 18-years-old as she played the character of Doody in Bond, was and is still the oldest Bond gal to date. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she played alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable role to date was as Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors that have played James Bond. In the year 1991, Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. Then, she moved to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she was later chosen to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his agent and girlfriend. After a long absence from screen Doody was back in the acting world by playing a minor role in the 2003's British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an event scene for the award ceremony. Doody's roles include a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 as well as a booklet on the Holocaust, and a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. In 2010 Doody played a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Then, she appeared on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to play the lead role in the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria the tierra de film prize was awarded to her on November 21 in 2018. The actress also was given a star at the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
