Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was conceived in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood. As a child, Britney attended dance classes and excelled in gymnastics, winning numerous contests and similar. Britney loves to sing however, most importantly, she enjoyed dance classes. At age 8, Britney attempted to audition for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), but was denied because of her age. It led her to an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", for an entire two-year run as the main character. When she was 11 years old, she was back on stage for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). It was a different time, she was a mouseketeer along with many other current stars, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. In the late 90s Britney was signed by Jive Recording Artist. With the release of her debut album"Baby "...Baby One More Time" in early 1999 Britney became a huge success having sold 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Did It Again", released in May 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears (and Jamie Spears) and has a bigger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was born to be famous from a young age. Britney loved singing and was inspired by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on television at the age of 8. However, she was not old enough for the role. Britney relocated to New York with her mother and baby sibling. She was a part of numerous TV ads and was an understudy for Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. Her passion for dance and music grew and, 2 years after that, she was auditioning for a part on "Mickey Mouse" again and, this time, won the role along with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
