Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after the first time she tried out. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed at the top of the podium across her diverse races at the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
