Brooke Christa Shields Bio

Brooke Christa Shields (born May 31, 1965) is an American model and actress. As a child model she won critical acclaim for her main role in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She modelled into her teen years, and was widely praised for her performance in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby. Shields began acting again in the late 1990s, and appeared in minor role in movies. She also starred on the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-202000), in which she was nominated to two Golden Globes. Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) was her second nomination. In the year 2017, Shields returned to NBC with a major recurring role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit during the show's 19th season. Shields is the voice of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was born in Manhattan, New York on May 31, 1965. She is the daughter of model and actress Teri Shields (nee Schmon; 1933-2012) and businessman Frank Shields (1941-2003). According to William Addams Reitwiesner research, Shields had ancestral connections with numerous noble families of Italy. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Her paternal grandmother was the Italian noblewoman Marina Torlonia di Zivitella-Cesi she was the daughter of an Italian prince and an American socialite. Her great-uncle, Alessandro Torlonia, an Italian nobleman was the father of Infanta Beatriz who was born in Spain. Teri was paid an amount by the family of Frank to end the pregnancy.
