Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going on to star in
big-screen comedies like 'Elf' "Anchorman," and Talladega Nights.
Will Ferrell was born in Irvine in the year 1967. He started his comedic career
as a member of the group based in Los Angeles, The Groundlings. He was a
Saturday Night Live cast member for seven seasons and was a huge comedic draw
with off-color films, like Old School 2003 and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron
Burgundy 2004. Ferrell was also a co-founder of the streaming site Funny or Die
and enjoyed his success as a voice actor in animated films such as Megamind
(2010). John William Ferrell was conceived in Irvine, California on July 16th
1967. Will Ferrell is the eldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee
Ferrell (and Kay Ferrell), however, he was not exactly the school clown while
he was in University High School. Ferrell, who was quiet and studious decided
to leave his mark in football and set the school record for the most field goals
made. In the more comfortable confines of his suburban home, Ferrell displayed
little of the hilarious, outrageous outbursts that would later help define his
career. His mother, who was interviewed by Esquire, said that her son was
gentle and calm. "You do you know those little Matchbox cars? Will will be
very happy if he lined up all his Matchbox cars by himself. You'd askhim
"Do you want to go to Disneyland this morning?" or "You want
your cars lined up?" That would be a challenging conversation for him to
consider. Ferrell was not a straight man. A glimpse of his comedic talents was
seen every morning in high school, when he would disguise his voice to make the
daily announcements over the PA system. Ferrell graduated from the University
of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1986. He joined Delta Tau fraternity,
and went on to pursue a degree in sports journalism.
