Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pineda, an Filipino musician/singer, rose to fame in the Philippines in the 1890s. He also became the new lead vocalist for the American rock group Journey in 2007. Since his father was six months behind on rent and was also not able to provide for his family, his father decided to get his relatives to take Arnel's siblings. Arnel is the youngest of three children: Roderick Pineda, Joselito Pineda, and Russmon Pineda. In the wake of the situation, Arnel quit school and began working to ease the burden of his father. Arnel was for two years on the streets, sleeping anywhere he could, whether in parks in the public or on the narrow seat outside of an unfriendly house. He took glass bottles, newspapers and scrap metals, and offered them to recyclers. Arnel also worked odd jobs such as cleaning scrap metal or docked ships. Arnel is married to Cherry Pineda. They were married in 2001. The couple have two children together The couple has a daughter (Theachenelle Pineda) and a son (Cherub). Arnel has two children of his own: Matthew and Angelo.
