Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis Greek pronunciation born October 1st, 1969) is an American comedian, actor, musician, and writer. He was a part of the Comedy Central Presents special and presented his show Late World with Zach on VH1. Galifianakis has been in films like The Hangover trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010) and The Campaign (2012). He also appeared in Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) as well as Masterminds (2016). Galifianakis also voiced characters in animated films such as Puss in Boots (2011). The Lego Batman Movie (2017). Missing Link (2019). Ron's Gone wrong (2021). Galifianakis hosts the Funny or Die website chat show Between Two Ferns. He was the main character in FX's television show Baskets. In the year 2017 Galifianakis was nominated for win the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Lead Actor for the Comedy Series. Zachary Knight Galifianakis was born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, on the 1st of October, 1969. He is the son of community arts center manager Mary Frances (nee Cashion) and heating oil merchant Harry Galifianakis. His mother is Scottish-Irish and English origin, and his paternal grandparents were Greek immigrants from Crete. The baptism was performed according to the Greek Orthodox faith of his father. He has Merritt, a younger sister and Greg the older brother. His cousin is Washington Post cartoonist Nick Galifianakis and his uncle, who is also known as Nick Galifianakis, is a politician. Galifianakis was a student at Wilkes Central High School, and subsequently attended North Carolina State University, where he majored in communications.
