Bruce Willis

The actor and musician Bruce Willis is well known for his sharp-witted or wisecracking characters, usually in stunning action films. He has been in over $2.5 billion worth of films. Walter Bruce Willis was born March 19, 1955 in Idar-Oberstein (West Germany) to Marlene Kassel and David Andrew Willis (from Carneys Point New Jersey), both of whom lived on a United States military base. His family emigrated to the U.S. soon after he was born. Willis was born in Penns Grove by his mother who worked in the bank, while his father, a welding who was a factory worker and welder. Willis began to develop an interest in the dramatic arts while in high school. He was "discovered" as a bartender in the cafe in a New York City cafe. Later, he appeared in various off-Broadway productions. A night, he was bartending and was noticed by a casting agent who liked his personality. He was in need of bartenders to play an unimportant role in a movie. Willis was involved in numerous auditions prior to landing the role in the well-known romantic comedy, Moonlighting (1985), as David Addison. His humorous and wisecracking P.I. His humor-filled and wisecracking P.I. is often regarded as a trial run to test his character John McClane, the hardboiled NYC detective in Die Hard (1988), in which Willis combat a gang of brutal international thieves at the top of a Los Angeles skyscraper. The sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990) Willis reprised his role in the role of McClane. The plot set in Washington's Dulles International Airport where a group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers are trying to get back the corrupt South American general. A record-breaking box office performance prompted an additional sequel Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), this time co-starring Samuel L. Jackson as the sly Harlem shop owner who is accidentally dragged into helping McClane during a terrorist attack campaign on a scorching day in New York.
